Lifetime Learning

One of the greatest things about starting this new career, is that I now spend a good part of my free time learning about human computer interaction, user experience, design, information architecture and the latest news about how information is stored, organized and retrieved in business applications, social media and educational environments.

These topics have always intrigued me and I have always enjoyed learning. Now I get to do what I love as my career, instead of sneaking it in when I get a chance.

Here’s to doing what you love and never having to work another day in my life!

Live Life Backwards

Those of you who read those forwarded emails have probably seen this before. I think it bears repeating, especially for those of us that may be closer to the end than the beginning…

I want to live my next life backwards.
You start out dead & get that out of the way
Then you wake up in an old age home, feeling better every day
Then you get kicked out for being too healthy. Enjoy your retirement & collect your pension
Then when you start work, you get a gold watch on your first day
You work 40 years until you’re too young to work
You get ready for college, then high school where you drink alcohol, party, & you’re generally promiscuous.
Then you go to primary school, you become a kid, you play, & you have no responsibilities.
Then you become a baby, & then…..
You spend your last nine months floating peacefully in luxury, in spa-like conditions, central heating, room service on tap, and then……..
You finish off as an orgasm.
I rest my case.
