Googley Design

Google posted their 10 concepts of design on their corporate page and I think they are an awful lot like the industry standards:

1. Focus on people—their lives, their work, their dreams.
2. Every millisecond counts.
3. Simplicity is powerful.
4. Engage beginners and attract experts.
5. Dare to innovate.
6. Design for the world.
7. Plan for today’s and tomorrow’s business.
8. Delight the eye without distracting the mind.
9. Be worthy of people’s trust.
10. Add a human touch.

What I found interesting, were the descriptions and explanations of how they achieve these design goals. Whether they are successful or not, they leave to us to decide.

New Fuel for the World

Now this is a reason to be excited about technology. [kml_flashembed movie="http://www.youtube.com/v/-PqekQyNr3M" width="425" height="350" wmode="transparent" /]

There are companies that are selling the instructions and the parts so that we can change our cars into hybrids that use this technology to improve gas mileage and decrease pollutants. One of them is offering the whole deal for less than $200 check it out http://www.runyourcarwithwater.com/?hop=ricklomas .

This could be the beginning of the end for the oil industry.

My wife and I are in the midst of figuring out how to deal with the lack of home office space. We are both working at home and often find that we need the office space at the same time. we are looking at different desks and trying to predict what our new home will look like so we can purchase something that will work when moved there.
